What's an imo?

Imogen Dall ('Imo') is a British-Australian writer and director based in London, UK.

 

Imo sparked her interest in screen media as a scholarship student at the George Washington University in Washington DC, USA.

she went on to study writing and animation at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS) in Sydney, Australia.

imo relocated to Japan and then to the UK, where she has worked as copywriter and creative director for major brands and causes.

currently, imo is a creative climate policy fellow at university college london (ucl).

Alongside a successful career in advertising, Imo published her first book Burnout Survival Kit (Bloomsbury) and has published short stories in literary magazines.

 

Imo also wrote and directed the LA Web Fest award-winning web series People You May Know, and wrote and edit-directed the 6-times festival selected documentary The Mystery of the Gnaraloo Sea Turtles. Imo has optioned four features, including an adaptation of Jón Gnarr's best-selling memoir, as well as her original script American Friendship. Her writing has also been shortlisted in the BAFTA Rocliffe Comedy showcase, BBC Comedy Writer’s Room and Channel 4’s 4Stories,

Imo brings a queer, neurodiverse, immigrant perspective to her work.
